About courage, people and the power of real development
Question: What is your personal drive – why do you do what you do?
Answer: I believe deeply in development. In the potential that lies within every person. But in order to develop it, you need courage – the courage to make decisions, to change, to be honest. For me, courage is the basic building block of all progress. I have a tattoo on my arm: Perseverance. Courage. Honor. Loyalty. These four values have shaped me – as a person, entrepreneur and coach.
Question: What does leadership mean to you?
Answer: Leadership is not a title. It is an attitude. I want to show managers how powerful people-centered leadership really is – if you live it. Loyalty is not created through control or pressure, but through purpose, trust and recognition. Managers who see people – not just roles – will experience how much energy and commitment is suddenly released.
Question: What would you like to see in the working world of the future?
Answer: I would like to see a business world that is more human again. Where people don’t “work” in the morning, but look forward to the day. I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy working all my life – and I want as many people as possible to be able to say the same. Work can be fulfilling. Work can be fun. This is not an illusion – it is possible if the culture is right.
Question: What is the first step in this direction for you?
Answer: Self-reflection. Again and again. Only those who know themselves can lead others well – or work with them on an equal footing. I am convinced that knowledge is the beginning. The courage to change and to communicate honestly is the way. And the result is often much easier to achieve than you think.
Question: What is your role in this change?
Answer: I see my vocation as accompanying people on their development path. Whether in coaching, leadership training, team development or change management – I can provide impetus, open up perspectives and create spaces in which new things can emerge.
